It turns out it’s the technical setup of the SEO in Preston blog that’s preventing it from shooting up the Google rankings, so now that’s sorted and since there’s a four-day weekend looming, I decided to write a nice, light-hearted blog post about technical difficulties.

When I think about post topics for SEO Preston I consider all the different aspects of search engine marketing – but one of the most valuable services offered by Custard Media to companies looking for SEO in Preston isn’t necessarily the first thing that springs to mind.
You see, mention SEO to most people and they’ll talk about link building, on-site optimisation; maybe even pay-per-click marketing. Very few will even think to mention reputation management.

For a while now it’s been obvious to me and just about everyone else on the SEO planet that social media is the current hot topic. Not only have I been considering how the SEO Preston blog can become more social, but the Custard Media team recently had a huge brainstorming session on how to make the most of the latest SEO trend.
Google recently admitted that Facebook and Twitter DO have a certain amount of influence over rankings, but the main focus of social media should be the huge audience potential, thanks to the ability of likes, retweets and the like to send quality content viral within minutes. If I could provide that kind of content, I could concievably see the rankings and popularity of SEO Preston shoot through the roof.
