SEO Preston #16 – Keyword Research

When I pondered the topic for this week’s SEO Preston blog post, it occurred to me I’ve already covered some of the most in-depth SEO techniques without looking at some of the more basic practices like keyword research.

Without keyword research all other SEO activity is probably going to be useless. It’s very much like walking around with your eyes closed – if you don’t know the relevant keywords for your site and you’re not aware what people search for, how can you hope to drive traffic and see conversions? SEO Preston #6 – Google’s Call Tracker gets a poor reception at the Custard Media office

Google recently released its very own call tracking solution, with the promise of better website conversion thanks to the ability to see exactly which adverts are bringing in revenue.

This is achieved by generating a unique phone number for each ad, but already Google’s ‘Adwords Call Metrics tool is being outshone by similar products that have been there, seen it, got the conversion data.
