It’s taken three months, but the SEO Preston blog has officially arrived on page one of Google’s search results page!

I’d almost given up hope following endless technical difficulties with the clearly cursed seopreston.com domain, but having only resided on webain.co.uk for a couple of weeks, imagine my delight when I realised the SEO Preston blog was sitting pretty at #7 for the term [seo preston]!

The whole purpose of the blog was to illustrate how a simple WordPress blog can achieve high rankings with the right kind of SEO know-how.

And while the number one spot still eludes me, I’ll be doing my utmost to keep SEO Preston climbing the Google rankings.

The fact that a post I wrote for the Custard Media blog is currently occupying the top spot is some small comfort. If anyone really does have the expertise to rank at the top of the tree, it’s the Custard SEO team.

Both SEO Preston and Webain are owned by Custard Media and regular blog readers will know I have worked as an SEO Consultant at Custard HQ since March.

As the blog was one of the first tasks I was given, it’s extremely satisfying to see SEO Preston finally ranking where I think it belongs!
